Scotty Cameron has become a top putter designer over the last 15 years. Every so often he comes up with a wacky idea that should help golfers to gain consistency, and the Scotty Cameron DeTour is one such design.

As much as we wanted to like it, we didn’t hole many putts with it. The theory of the bar showing the correct path away from the golf ball makes sense, but we found it distracting. Feel is excellent, as you’d expect with a Scotty, but at £210 it is for hard-core Scotty Cameron fans only.
