My TaylorMade R9 Super Driver is the greatest club ever! It also feels very solid and makes a nice sound when I hit the ball. Also the ball goes just as far on off-center hits! Thank you!

We are afraid that we don't offer it.

here i'd like to show my main observations about the R9.

1) The Motore shaft plays significantly stiffer than what the R and S indicate. If your speed is under 100 mph consider the regular. Also don't expect an upward kick up from the shaft. It's fairly stiff tipped. This may be one of the reasons that anonymous below had with getting the ball in the air versus his other driver. A shaft with tight dispersion and good feel. You see the pros using it in their R9's so that says something.

2) Considering it is 420 cc's, the is limited loss of distance when hit off center was a surprise. Bottom and heel hits still gave good distance. When you catch the sweet spot, however, you know it. Ball just shoots off the face.

3) Expensive but being able to tune in your desired flight makes this club worth it. There are 24 options but you'll probably just mess with 4 or 5. No more regrets about buying the right loft or flight bias.

4) I'm getting a penetrating flight with spin around 3300 rpm which isn't bad for my club speed. I wouldn't say it's any longer than any of the other top of the line drivers but it is very consistent.

Give it a try but be sure to demo with the different stiffness shafts.
